Colworth Park has awarded Apleona HSG the multimillion-pound contract to deliver total facilities management services at the Bedfordshire science park.
The FM division of the company has secured a contract to deliver TFM services at Colworth Science Park on behalf of owner Wrenbridge and tenants including Unilever, the largest of a number of organisations on the estate.
Under the initial three-year deal Apleona HSG will deliver services including cleaning, waste management, facilities support, gym services, logistics and mail services, space planning, printing and reprographics, security, mechanical and electrical, building fabric and project works.
Keith Purdie, business development director of Colworth Park, said there were “great opportunities for both companies in this agreement”.
Colworth Park is managed by Wrenbridge for commercial research and development throughout the supply chain, including foundation research, prototyping and market development.
It is home to Unilever’s scientific research in discovery, central product safety, sustainability and global product development activities, as well as a range of other growing business and academic research organisations.
